Join artist and urban sketcher Peri-Laine Nilan for an introduction to Urban Sketching. This art form encompasses a variety of subjects, both indoors and outdoors, including people, pets, nature, and various street scenes. Peri will offer tips on selecting materials for travel and urban sketching, packing lightly and getting started. You will also have the opportunity to see examples of her ink and watercolour sketches, and take a peek at her sketchbooks.
Peri-Laine is an active member of the Vancouver Urban Sketchers, which is part of a global community with over 500 chapters. Urban Sketchers is a supportive group of artists who are passionate about urban sketching, fostering creativity at all skill levels. Peri is happy to share how to get involved, allowing you to connect with fellow sketchers and enhance your art practice within a welcoming community.
