All ages
We’ll be exploring the Gateshead and Newcastle Quayside from Baltic with naturalists from NHSN, who bring our attention to the nature hiding in plain sight – from the tiniest of plants growing in the cracks of the pavement, to the surprising habitats revealed in low tide, the wild bees so small you might miss them and the ladybirds tucked away in city planters. Find out what our local space has to offer for nature. Hear about the history of the plants around us - point out what you want to know more about and our expert friends will give you some insight into what you find along the way.
Open to all ages.
Accessibility
This trail is 1 hour 15 minutes long and takes place outdoors. This trail is suitable for all ages and we’ll adapt content depending on our visitors. We’ll do our best to keep to time, but want to accommodate everyone. Please wear sensible footwear and bring a waterproof layer if rain is forecast. This tour is wheelchair accessible and pushchair friendly. Participants take personal responsibility for their safety and welfare throughout the tour. If you have any accessibility queries or require accessibility equipment or anything you think we should be aware of, you can let us know when you book your tickets or email us at [email protected].
There is no charge to attend this event, and we encourage donation tickets. If you're unable to attend the event, we are unable to refund your donation.
