BikeDFW hosts the Urban Cycling class 2-3 times per year, and we are excited to be partnering with Dallas Bicycle Coalition for this class. The Urban Cycling class is designed for riders with moderate to advanced skills on a bike. This class gives cyclists the confidence they need to ride safely and legally in traffic or on the trail. In this class, students learn how to conduct bicycle safety checks, improve on-bike skills, as well as crash avoidance techniques. The curriculum is fast-paced and prepares cyclists for a full understanding of vehicular cycling.
Students must have a bicycle with hand brakes - in good working condition, and a helmet for this class.
Part 1 of the class is online & free at link provided at registration, and while optional, we strongly encourage students to complete the online portion before the class date.
Part 2 of the class is on-bike and taught by League Cycling Instructors. The cost is $60.00, or $25 for current Members of BikeDFW. REGISTRATION/TICKETS ARE REQUIRED to attend this class. We are unable to take walk ups day of. These classes are in a group, and generally run about 2 hours.
Dallas Bicycle Coalition will be leading a short ride after the class.
