Stop the Bleed- Medical City Dallas

The "Stop the Bleed" campaign was initiated by a federal interagency workgroup convened by the National Security Council and The White House. The purpose of the campaign is to build national resilience by better preparing the public to save lives by raising awareness of basic actions to stop life threatening bleeding following everyday emergencies. Advances made by military medicine and research in hemorrhage control have informed the work of this initiative.

Similar to the use of CPR or automatic defibrillators, improving public awareness about how to stop severe bleeding and expanding personal and public access to bleeding control kits can be the difference between life and death for an injured person. Please take a moment to get the information and have the tools to help save lives in the precious moments immediately after an emergency.
