Celebrate the beauty of spring at Upper Arlington’s Fourth Annual Cherry Blossom Celebration. Join the Upper Arlington Community Relations Committee (CRC), Asian American Community Services (AACS), and Upper Arlington Public Library at Mallway Park for an evening centered on renewal, friendship and cultural connection. Set among the blooming cherry trees at Veterans Plaza, this free event is part of a broader Central Ohio tradition welcoming the season of new beginnings.
Enjoy hands-on activities for all ages, including friendship bracelet making, origami and haiku poetry, led by AACS and Upper Arlington High School AAPI students. Capture the moment at a cherry blossom-themed photo station, and experience live performances featuring a guzheng musical piece by Upper Arlington student Elena Zhu and a taiko drumming performance by April Gregory and Malisa Nash.
Stop by the Community Relations Committee welcome table to meet committee members, learn about opportunities to get involved with City boards and commissions, and enjoy light refreshments — including cherry blossom buns. Plus, explore a curated book display from the Upper Arlington Public Library and take part in themed button making and bookmark decorating.
