“Uplift for Life” Invites the Community to Turn Compassion Into ActionParis, Texas — A powerful movement fueled by compassion, creativity, and community spirit is taking shape as Silver Crest Hospice proudly presents Uplift for Life 2026—an inspiring local fundraiser dedicated to supporting individuals and families facing life-threatening illnesses. More than just an event, Uplift for Life is a heartfelt call to unite and create a meaningful, lasting impact right here at home.
The journey begins with a community-wide bra collection, open to anyone who wishes to participate—completely free of charge. Residents are encouraged to donate gently used or new bras, each one becoming the foundation for something deeply meaningful.
From there, participants transform these bras into one-of-a-kind artistic masterpieces, each created in honor of someone who has battled, is currently battling, or has lost their life to serious illness. Designs may also reflect this year’s uplifting theme: “Light and Hope in the Community.” Every piece tells a story—of strength, love, remembrance, and unwavering hope.
To support creativity and connection, free craft workshops will be available for participants to gather, share ideas, and design together:

Once completed, each design—accompanied by a personal story—will be showcased online, where the community can vote for their favorites through donations. The designs receiving the most support will advance to the main event, where at least 30 standout creations (or more, depending on participation) will take center stage.

In a powerful and uplifting showcase, local firefighters and police officers will model the top designs during a special runway presentation. The evening will also feature a raised runway experience, guest speakers, delicious food, and both silent and live auctions—all celebrating creativity while rallying support for an important cause.
Organizers emphasize that every dollar raised will stay local, directly benefiting families in the Paris community who are facing life-threatening illnesses. All proceeds will be managed through Lamar Avenue Church of Christ, where a dedicated fund is being established to provide both financial assistance and emotional encouragement during some of life’s most difficult moments.
With an ambitious goal of raising more than $100,000, community involvement will be essential to bringing this vision to life.
