Come hang out with some of your fellow Uplanders at the 2026 UPLAND West Coast Meet Up
About this Event

The West Coast Meet Up is back, and it's coming to Seattle!
Join us in the beautiful PNW to hang out and explore the heart of Seattle with your fellow Uplanders.

We've packed the weekend with all the must-do Seattle activities you can think of. Check out the helpful info and agenda below to get ready for this adventure.

All times and events on the agenda are planned to the best of our ability so far in advance. Reservations may be needed for certain activities, so we'll need to wait until we get a better idea of how many people to expect before we make those reservations. Times and events are subject to change depending on availability - but we'll keep everyone updated if any changes are made!

IMPORTANT: To RSVP, please claim one ticket through Eventbrite for each member of your party who will be attending. A West Coast Meet Up 2026 pass will be reserved for each person who RSVPs and attends in person. If you do not RSVP by September 1st, we cannot guarantee a pass for you. After claiming your ticket(s), please post in the Eventbrite channel of the West Coast Meetup Discord server with the name you'd like included on your pass for each party member.

Location, Location, Location

Most locations we've planned for are near Seattle Center and are easily accessible by walking, hopping on a Lime scooter, or catching the bus. If you don't plan on driving your own vehicle, renting a vehicle, or relying on Uber/Lyft, we recommend booking a hotel in the Seattle Center area.

Our preferred hotel and where we'll be staying from Friday - Sunday is The Maxwell, located at 300 Roy St, Seattle, WA 98109.

The Orca Day Pass is also an affordable option for getting around the city, offering unlimited rides on most of Seattle's public transit options for only $6 for the day - way cheaper than an Uber!

About That Agenda

We realize you're all grown adults and are perfectly capable of making your own decisions. If there are any items on the agenda that you're not interested in, there is no shortage of things to do here while you're waiting for others to catch up with you at the next spot. We'll miss you, but we won't be offended if you sit something out!
If, on the other hand, you're intersted in doing it all, we recommended purchasing a Seattle CityPASS.

The Seattle CityPASS costs $139 per adult, and includes admission to five attractions - The Space Needle and Seattle Aquarium are chosen by default, plus your choice of three more from the following:

- Chihuly Garden and Glass

- Argosy Cruises

- Museum of Pop Culture

- Woodland Park Zoo

- Pacific Science Center
Our agenda includes all of the above except for the Woodland Park Zoo. The CityPass will save you a good chunk of change rather than buying individual tickets for each attraction.
The CityPASS tickets are valid for a 9-day period starting on (and including) the first day you visit an attraction or have a reservation. You have one year from the date of purchase to start using your tickets. If you like to prepare early, you can purchase your CityPASS right away and it'll be good for the whole weekend once you get here and visit the first attraction.
If you're only interested in a few of the attractions, the C3 pass may be better suited for you. Click here to compare the two.

    - Dick's keeps it simple. They will not do any substitutions or add-ons on any burger. Burgers come as they are (just the way Kurt would've wanted it.) With that said, we'll only be a little bit offended if you don't at least try one of their burgers.

  • 200 Sue Bird Ct N, Seattle, WA 98109

    - The Space Needle offers a cocktail and culinary experience at the Loupe Lounge. Reservations for this experience open in early September. We're not sure of the cost for this experience yet, but if you're interested in a rather bougie dinner experience at the top of the Space Needle instead of just riding to the top for the views, feel free to book your own reservation for that as soon as you can. They likely wouldn't be able to accomodate large groups, so this is a DIY task for anyone who's interested. *The Loupe Loung experience is 90 minutes from start to finish. If you plan on meeting us at Gameworks afterwards, plan your reservation accordingly.

  • 1511 7th Ave, Seattle, WA 98101
    - We can get on the monorail at the Space Needle and it will drop us off about a block away from Gameworks.
    - Offers arcade games, drinks, and food
    - When we know how many people will be joining us at Gameworks, we'll inquire further with them about game and dining packages. More to come on this.

    - Custom POP dolls created in store are made on site and available within ~20 minutes.
    - If you're interested in creating a custom POP doll and would like to speed up your selection process while in the store, feel free to browse the customizable options on their website ahead of time. The store may or may not have additional custom options available on site that are not available on the website.
    - Funko HQ is about a 30 mile drive from Seattle Center. We can all coordinate with each other to determine who has extra seats available in their cars to drive others, and who might want to Uber or take public transit

A Few More Tips for Your Trip
  • We gotta be real with you - This is Seattle. In October. It'll probably rain at some point while you're here. Pack accordingly and be sure to bring a decent jacket, but if you really want to embrace our culture, leave the umbrella at home! Locals don't use those.
  • If you're someone who likes to buy allll the things, bring a light/easy to carry bag to carry your new treasures in. You don't want your hands full once we're out and exploring for the day.
  • Use your credit/debit card everywhere you can, but try to keep some pocket cash on you if you can so you're not paying ridiculous ATM fees at the bars for door cover charges, tips, etc.
  • Use the bathroom everywhere before you leave. There shouldn't be any issues here, but bahtrooms are typically for paying customers only to keep vagrants out.
  • We have a lot of ground to cover this weekend. You'll want to be on time and well rested. Drink and walk responsibly so you're not hurting the next day - and don't forget to pack the asprin!
  • Safety first: Seattle is a fairly safe city, but it is still a major city. Keep your belongings safe in your hotel room, or at least locked in the trunk of your car, out of site from the smash and grabbers. Stay in groups. Don't make eye contact with the wildlife. If you start to smell more pee in the air than the normal amount of pee, be extra vigilant.
