About this Event

Are we facing a genuine crisis?

This panel brings together voices from academia, policy and practice to interrogate the relationship between evidence and trust. What's driving scepticism toward expert knowledge? What does it mean to produce evidence that people actually believe? And what responsibility do researchers and knowledge mobilisers have in building that trust?

Featuring Professor Karen Salt (Manchester Metropolitan University), Professor Mike Kenny (Bennett School of Public Policy, Cambridge) and James Plunkett (author of End State and convenor of Kinship Works), Hannah Russell (British Science Association), Sam Freedman (author of Failed State & Fellow at the Institute for Government), and chaired by Tracey Brown OBE (Sense About Science).

Join us and put your questions to our experts.

Note that this ticket is for this panel only and does not entitle you to attend the full conference.
