About this Event

Join us at the UF/IFAS North Florida Research and Education Center-Suwannee Valley in Live Oak, FL, for a half-day workshop on Updates on Organic Vegetable Production. This event will feature several informative short talks from UF and UGA researchers on topics like whitefly and two-spot cotton leaf hopper management, companion plants and integrated pest management, cover cropping effects on nutrient cycling, and a peek at the economics of organic farming.

You will have the chance to visit field plots, participate in engaging activities, and enjoy a complimentary lunch with fellow growers and professionals. Whether you are a grower, researcher, or just interested in organic practices, this event offers valuable insights and tools you can use.

Since this event has an outdoor component, please wear comfortable closed-toe shoes, bring a hat, and a water bottle. If you have any food allergies, please email [email protected] by September 21st.

The registration fee is $5.00. Participants must register through Eventbrite by September 22nd. If the minimum attendance of 15 participants is not met by September 22nd, this event will be canceled. This event is limited to 50 participants. There will be no refunds for the registration fee.
