UPCYCLING WORKSHOP: WASTE DENIM JEANS FOR BUCKET HAT

Come join us at FAF | Female Arts in Florence for a fun and creative event where you can turn your old denim jeans into a trendy bucket hat! Our workshop will teach you how to repurpose materials and create something stylish and unique. Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn a new skill and contribute to sustainable fashion. I the first segment of this class, you will be introduced to Denim jeans, we will analyze the washing, the seams, the pockets, the belt loops and every usable details.We will dismantle each piece of the jeans together and evaluate how to use it by enhancing its details.

In the second part of the workshop is where the magic happens!nGuided by Giovanna Cocci Fashio ìDesigner and Hat maker , you will create your own bucket hat , using paper pattern and placing it on the previously selected jeans and work on some parts of it with tearing, stitching, embroidery and abrasion techniques.Finally we will sew the hat and finish it inside with grosgrain. You can decorate your bucket with embroidery sashiko stitches make by hand or sew machine.
