About this Event
Do you have old bath towels that you feel guilty throwing away? Looking for a quick and fun upcycling project to help the environment? Look no further! Tria Connell will show you how to take your old towels, flannels, or sweatpants and transform them into functional kitchen towels that will help you not only keep your house clean but also reduce waste. She’ll show you how to create them using both a regular sewing machine and a serger/overlock.
We will have some materials available, but if you have any of the following that you’ve been dying to upcycle, bring them in!
Towels, flannel shirts (ideally 100% cotton), sweatshirt/hoodie/sweatpants material
This is not an intro to sewing class. Participants must know how to do a simple straight stitch on a machine.
Please note we have a sliding scale for tickets for this event! The break down is as follows:
General Admission #1: Covers the cost of workshop and materials
General Admission #2: Covers cost of workshop, materials, and supports the instructor
General Admission #3: Covers cost of workshop, materials, supports the instructor, and helps keep our workshops more accessible
