Comedian bios:
Nigel Williams (UK) - Nigel is considered one of the pioneers of the new wave of Belgian stand-up comedy that emerged in the late 1990s. In 2000, he won Humo's Comedy Cup, and since then, he has been entertaining audiences at venues in Belgium and abroad with his high-energy stand-up comedy. He delivers socially relevant stand-up rooted in the purest Anglo-Saxon tradition, focusing on current events, with razor-sharp observations and plenty of improvisation, freewheeling, and audience participation. Nigel is known for his unwavering social commitment and delivers his message in a hilariously unfiltered manner, always with a cheeky wink. He is a perfect match for those who prefer their comedy a bit rougher.
Neil Robinson (Canada) - Neil originally hails from Vancouver, Canada and has been living in Amsterdam since 2008, where his comedy career began. Using sharp wit, clever observations, and that ‘nice Canadian guy’ attitude, Neil is always a crowd-favourite. A regular at Amsterdam’s Comedy Café and a finalist in multiple Sonnema Comedy Competitions, Neil has performed for audiences throughout Europe and Canada. He is also the co-creator of the online comedy series “Survival Guide to the Dutch”. Since 2014, the series has been dedicated to all aspects of life in the Netherlands, from the amusing to the confusing. The series has garnered over 30 million views online.
Sharon Em (Ireland) - Sharon is described as ‘the funny irish woman’ by her former colleagues meanders her way through life and the planet, rarely with purpose or direction, disproving the theory that not all who wander are lost. She is the kind of no-nonsense comic that when she speaks, you listen! She knows what she wants and whose dryness catches you off guard at first, ending with a fine touch of ‘did she just say that?’ She also runs numerous comedy nights around continental Europe and is fresh off a run at the Edinburgh Fringe festival. Her best friends describe her as ‘who's that again?’
