UofL Student Reentry & Community Resource Fair
About this Event
UofL Student Reentry & Community Resource Fair
Join us at the University of Louisville for the UofL Student Reentry & Community Resource Fair, a welcoming event designed to connect students impacted by incarceration or the criminal legal system with organizations, agencies, and resources that can support their educational goals, well-being, and successful community reintegration.
You do not need to disclose any personal history of incarceration or criminal legal system involvement to attend.
Returning to school or pursuing higher education following involvement with the criminal legal system can involve challenges that extend far beyond the classroom. Students may need assistance navigating housing, employment, transportation, health care, behavioral health services, recovery support, financial stability, food access, legal concerns, identification and documentation, community supervision, and other needs.
The Resource Fair brings many of these services together in one place so students can make direct connections with organizations that serve Louisville, Southern Indiana, and the surrounding region.
What to Expect
Attendees will have an opportunity to meet representatives from community organizations and public agencies offering resources related to:
- Reentry and community reintegration
- Housing and homelessness prevention
- Employment and workforce development
- Health care and behavioral health
- Substance use treatment, recovery, and peer support
- Legal assistance and expungement
- Government programs and benefits
- Food and basic needs
- Financial stability and financial empowerment
- Transportation
- Family and community support
- Educational and student support services
- Community supervision and resource navigation
- Other services that can help reduce barriers to college completion and long-term stability
Students can speak directly with participating organizations, learn about available programs, ask questions about eligibility and referrals, and identify resources that may be useful now or in the future.
Who Should Attend?
The Resource Fair is especially intended for students who have experienced incarceration or other involvement with the criminal legal system, including students returning to higher education following incarceration.
We also welcome:

A Welcoming and Supportive Environment
