Join us for a powerful evening of remembrance and reflection as we shine a light on a difficult chapter in our city’s history. The event will begin with the unveiling of a new historical marker on the Bessie Smith Cultural Center lawn, honoring the lives affected by lynching in Chattanooga and affirming our commitment to truth and remembrance. Following the ceremony, guests will gather for a reception and fireside chat with local historians who will discuss the documented lynchings, their impact on our community, and the ongoing work to preserve these stories.
This event is FREE and open to the public! RSVP at www.bessiesmithcc.org/bhm
