8:00 | The Market. Six local makers selling work you will not find in a store. Happy hour. A room filled with people who chose to be here on purpose.
9:00 | The Voices. Six poets. One microphone. One hour. The room settles into silence. The lights dim, the distraction fades, and every word takes center stage. No selling. No phones. No distractions. Just stories, rhythm, emotion, and the simple act of listening.
10:20 | The Canvas. The door closes. Thirty easels stand ready. A live model takes center stage. Everything you need is already at your fingertips. The only thing left to do is create.
Your instructor for the night is Ana Shine.
Ana Shine is a Georgia based visual artist and the founder of Ana Shine Studios, where she works in bold acrylics, woodwork, and mixed media. Her paintings center around Black representation and tell stories with real feelings behind them. She takes private commissions, and her work shows regularly around Atlanta, including the Black Girl Art Show and gallery pop ups across the nation.
She will walk you through this from the very first mark and will always be near in case you get stuck.

The afternoon begins with a blank canvas, and a few simple instructions. This experience is about creativity and not perfection. No one's painting will look exactly like the example, and that's the point. About twenty or so minutes in, the room relaxes. Conversation flows, laughter fills the space, and creating becomes the only thing that matters. Before long, everyone settles into the process, each painting taking on a personality of its own.
At 11:45, you walk out holding a masterpiece that's entirely your own. There's nowhere else you need to be, but here! Thirty canvases. Thirty unique stories. One room connected by the simple flow of ART.
