Unterwegs (On the Road)

Two authors from Germany – Sonali Beher and Iven Yorick Fenker, both students at the German Institute for Literature Leipzig – travel along the East Coast of the United States from New York to Florida and then to Texas. Along the way, they engage with diverse audiences through readings, discussions, and conversations held in a range of venues: bookstores, schools, libraries, universities, businesses, and more. Throughout their journey, the authors share their impressions in real time: through notes, essays, and visual content for social media and websites. This Reading & Conversation at PushPush Arts in Atlanta is part of the Goethe-Institut’s On the Road project. Sonali Beher and Iven Yorick Fenker will share their work, with readings in both English and German, followed by an informal conversation. Join us for an engaging literary evening that explores themes of identity, culture, and transatlantic exchange — with time for questions, discussion, and connection.
