Untermyer Family Fun Day: Sea of Wonders

​Ahoy, Mateys and Merfolk!
Dive into an afternoon of adventure at Untermyer! Explore a magical world of sea creatures and characters as the garden transforms into a Sea of Wonders. Cool off in sprinklers and with free ice cream and popsicles, create ocean-inspired crafts, fish in the fountains, and try your luck at lawn games. Meet amazing animals from around the world courtesy of the Nature Center at Greenburgh, and follow clues on a treasure hunt through the Walled Garden, with plenty of other hands-on activities along the way.
Come dressed as your favorite ocean-themed character or borrow costumes and accessories for a fun family photo. Wear a bathing suit to enjoy water play! Pack a picnic and spend the day immersed in a world of imagination, discovery, and family fun.
​All events and activities are included when you pay one price. With your ticket purchase, you can arrive at 12:00 noon to enjoy a picnic inside the Walled Garden. Bring your own food and beverages and a blanket or portable chairs. This is the only day of the year that picnicking is allowed within the splendor of the Walled Garden!
Fear not, adventurers! The fun moves inside the Cola Center in case of rain.
FAMILY FUN DAY SCHEDULE:

• 12:00 noon – Enjoy your picnic inside the Walled Garden. Bring your own food and beverages, and a blanket or folding chairs. This is the only day of the year that picnicking is allowed in the Walled Garden! No balls or other sports equipment. As always, no pets.
• 12:00-3:30pm – Activities: Cool off in our sea-themed sprinklers ----- Play in the bubbles at our Bubble Activity Station ----- Create your very own wearable accessories and other crafts ----- Enjoy an ice cream sandwich or popsicle ----- Take part in a Treasure Hunt throughout the Walled Garden ----- Get a temporary sea creature tattoo ----- Go “fishing” in our canal to win a prize ----- and more!
• 1:00-3:00 pm Meet Animal Ambassadors from the
• 3:30pm – Become an apprentice pirate! Get a crash course in buccaneering and (balloon) swordplay, then repel invaders in a swashbuckling Finale of Fun!
