UNSPOKEN gathers new acrylics on canvas, ink on paper, and mixed media works by Brenden Sanborn—portraits and figurative compositions that live in the space before language begins.

These works exist in suspension.

A softened gaze.
A fractured silhouette.
A figure half-emerging, half-dissolving.

Sanborn’s deliberate yet tender mark-making hovers between presence and disappearance. Ink lines tremble with emotional tension. Acrylic fields carry flashes of warmth against shadowed stillness. Orange becomes pulse. Black becomes memory. Negative space becomes breath.

Rather than declaring meaning, the work suggests it through restraint. Each image invites viewers to slow down—to listen inwardly.
