Unplug & Sketch: Urban Sketching at East End Social

Join Kaleidoscope PA for a special urban sketching workshop at East End Social, State College's summer outdoor gathering space designed for community, creativity, and connection. This workshop is being offered in conjunction with Offline Happy Valley, a community event encouraging people to unplug, connect, and engage with the world around them.
Sarah Zappe of Kaleidoscope PA will be joined by artist Benjamin Fehl, founder of The Crooked House, a nonprofit community art project in Milesburg, PA. Together, Sarah and Benjamin will guide participants through the process of capturing the character of downtown architecture using ink and watercolor.
Benjamin will share techniques for sketching buildings and architectural details with ink, while Sarah will demonstrate simple watercolor techniques to bring your sketches to life with color and expression. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced artist, this workshop will help you slow down, observe your surroundings, and develop confidence in urban sketching.
A portion of all proceeds will support The Crooked House project, helping preserve a unique historic space and expand access to arts programming in our community.
