Learn about all six of the unique forest preserve properties within the Batavia city limits and the special features found at each. Since studies show that spending time in nature is important to not only physical health, but to mental and emotional well-being, we are so lucky to be able to enjoy nature right in our own neighborhood - and our presenters will help you to do just that that! You can even contribute to the ongoing health and biodiversity of these special natural spaces by joining volunteer workdays. Environmental Education Manager Barb McKittrick and Volunteer Coordinator Robb Cleave of the Kane County Forest Preserve District will explain how to get involved.
