Join the University of Birmingham's Race Equality Staff Network, hosting three academics at the University who will talk about their career journey and research. This talk is suitable for anyone interested in finding out more about research happening at the University- you do not need any specialist academic knowledge!

Speakers will include:

Professor Diamond Ashiagbor FAcSS is Professor of Law and 125th Anniversary Chair at the University of Birmingham. She is an interdisciplinary legal scholar whose research and teaching spans labour law, regionalism (the European Union and the African Union), trade and development, human rights, equality and colonialism.

Professor Niheer Dasandi is Professor of Global Politics and Sustainable Development. His research broadly looks at the global politics of sustainable development and human rights, focusing on the relationship between human rights and development; the health dimensions of climate change; the politics of development aid; and foreign policy issues. He is the Co-Chair for the Public and Political Engagement Working Group of the Lancet Countdown on Health and Climate Change.
