About this Event

At this event, NAHN's in-person Members' Meeting will take place alongside an introduction to EnjoyArt, the arts programme at Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust. Meet some of the artists who deliver arts engagement at the bedside at both the Children's and Women's Hospitals, and learn more about the larger-scale Charity projects which are putting the arts front and centre to enhance patient experience.

Arriving at BCH:

Birmingham Children’s Hospital is based in the city centre, a short walk from several train stations and bus routes. While our main entrance is closed for refurbishment, please arrive at our Matron’s Garden entrance, off Steelhouse Lane (see green arrow on map below or use what.3.words ///filled.fence.glad). Staff and volunteers will greet you on arrival.

Public Transport:

Train – BCH is close to three major train stations in Birmingham city centre: Birmingham Snow Hill (7-minute walk), Birmingham New Street (13-minute walk), and Birmingham Moor Street (17-minute walk).

Tram - The nearest stop on the West Midlands Metro line is Upper Bull Street (6-minute walk).

Bus – Many local bus routes terminate at the nearby Bull Street/Priory Queensway interchange (‘Old Square’) and Snow Hill interchange on Colmore Row.

There are two car parks located opposite our Waterfall House entrance, on the adjoining Whithall Street:

Hotels:

The nearest hotels to BCH are:

· Holiday Inn Express Birmingham - Snow Hill (5 minute walk)

· Premier Inn Birmingham City Centre (Exchange Square) (7 minute walk)

Restaurants:

There are lots of cafes and restaurants in Birmingham City Centre.

Some suggestions:

· Temple Row and adjoining Temple Street (Damascena, The Old Joint Stock, Las Iguanas)

· Bennett’s Hill (Cosy Club, Rudy’s Pizza, Fat Hippo, Franco Manca)

· New Street (Nando’s, Tortilla, Wagamama, Bella Italia)

· Grand Central in Birmingham New Street station (Mowgli, Pho, Yo! Sushi, Joe & The Juice)
