University of Birmingham Chinese Music Ensemble concert

Join the University of Birmingham's Race Equality Staff Network, hosting the Birmingham Chinese Music Ensemble, a contemporary group centred on Chinese instrumental traditions while exploring cross-cultural collaboration and new musical possibilities. This ensemble is made up of both students and professional musicians.

We will be hosting an lunchtime concert where members of the Ensemble will be performing both solo and ensemble pieces on traditional Chinese instruments, including Chinese flute, xiao, guzheng and percussion. The programme will consist of traditional pieces and arrangements of contemporary “Guofeng” (Chinese-style popular) music.

This is a ticketed event as there are limited seats available. Please do cancel any tickets if you can no longer attend the concert.
