About this Event
An opportunity to learn about the curation of a diverse range of artworks from the University of Auckland Art Collection in Te Tumu Herenga, the University's General Library.
Guided by University Art Collection Advisor Madeleine Gifford, the focus of this free one-hour tour will focus on the role that both historic and contemporary artworks play in creating a welcoming environment for learning and research.
Artworks included are by celebrated Aotearoa artists like Selwyn Muru and Colin McCahon, alongside a commissioned soundscape and more recent acquisitions by contemporary practitioners such as Areez Katki and Ayesha Green.
LOCATION: Meet in the entrance foyer of Te Tumu Herenga General Library, Building 109, 5 Alfred Street, Auckland CBD , 1010.
Bookings essential. Each walk is limited to 25 people only. Maximum 2 walks and 2 places per walk per person.
