What is Southern Cross Up?Southern Cross(X) Up is the largest and longest running fighting game tournament in New Zealand. With roots dating back to 2009 before officially becoming the event that it is today in 2011, Southern Cross Up has been bringing together the best fighting game players from around New Zealand for many years and gives them the opportunity to show off their skills and talent.
Every fighting game player/fan/enthusiast has the opportunity to rise up and take the top spot as one of the countries best, thanks to the open bracket style of each tournament. From online rivals to offline friends, the beauty of competing is the mutual respect gained by both players and from spectators in person and watching along at home.
Across 3 days of competition, we will cheer for our favourites, boo the villains and crown champions, while making life long friends along the way.
