About this Event
Join the Lake County SELPA in welcoming our partners from the Open Access Team for a session focused on enhancing student access through Assistive and Accessible Technology.
This session is open to all educators interested in expanding their knowledge of Universal Design for Learning. It will provide educators and support staff with a foundational understanding of Assistive Technology (AT) and Accessible Technology in educational settings.
Participants will explore how AT—tools, strategies, and services—can empower students with disabilities to complete tasks they might otherwise find difficult or impossible. The session will also highlight the principles of accessible technology—technology intentionally designed to meet the diverse needs of all users from the start.
Through practical examples and interactive discussion, attendees will learn how to identify and implement effective supports that promote student independence, engagement, and inclusion.
