Do you have a passion for reading? Join us for a volunteer event that nurtures that same passion in local kids!We have partnered with the Education Foundation for Billings Public Schools and The Big J Show Cares for the 2nd annual United We Read! United We Read will be on March 6, 2026 from 8:00 - 9:45 a.m. Volunteers will read to elementary-aged kids in Billings Public Schools, and each classroom will receive a book to add to their classroom library. Thanks to the Books for Kids program, each child will receive a book to take home with them!
Why does reading to kids matter?
😃 Seeing an adult excited about reading can fuel those same feelings in kids.
📖 Adults modeling good reading skills helps kids' own reading skills.
🦄 Reading helps develop kids imaginations, a crucial developmental process.
