About this Event
United Nations World Interfaith Harmony Dialogue Event
Join Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity for an engaging evening as we explore affordable homeownership with a guest panel and enriching, facilitated, small-group discussions. The event will take place at Berger Hall in the University Center; parking is free on this day.
Proposed by King Abdullah II of Jordan in 2010 at the United Nations, World Interfaith Harmony Week is an annual observance held during the first week of February. Recognizing that mutual understanding and interreligious dialogue are essential components of a culture of peace, United Nations General Assembly created this week to foster harmony among people of all faiths. Acknowledging the critical need for dialogue between different religions to promote mutual understanding, peace, and cooperation, the General Assembly encourages all nations to spread the message of interfaith harmony and goodwill during this week.
This gathering aims to unite individuals - young adults to seniors- from diverse faith or no faith backgrounds to promote understanding, respect, and unity. Through open conversations, we will explore the Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity Interfaith Build for Unity program and the importance of affordable homeownership programs. Whether you're interested in learning more about Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity, different faiths, or interfaith cooperation, this event is for you. Let’s celebrate our diversity and build bridges of understanding together.
We look forward to seeing you there!
