The United Way BBQ Showdown has grown into a signature summer event in Southern Oklahoma, drawing attendees from across the region for a weekend of incredible food, entertainment, and community spirit. This year’s event promises to be one of the most memorable yet.
The festivities kick off Friday, August 7th with the Cajun Night (5:00pm-10:00pm)
- Over 50 cook teams serving up bold, authentic flavors straight from the Gulf. Guests can enjoy an all-you-can-eat experience with dishes like gumbo, jambalaya, étouffée, boiled shrimp, pastalaya, Cajun fried fish, and boudin.
- Bruce and Pickle from the hit series Swamp People will be on-site for a special meet-and-greet.
- Live music from local artist Zain Braden and nationally known band The Spazmatics
- Cornhole and Pickleball Tournaments
- Kids Activities
- And more!
Fun continues Saturday, August 8th with the BBQ Showdown (11:00am-1:00pm)
- BBQ competition will feature brisket, pork ribs, and pork butt – all you can eat, of course!

All proceeds benefit the United Way of South Central Oklahoma, which supports nearly 40 agencies and 45 programs, positively impacting the lives of over 60,000 people in a five-county region.
