They used to spend their days in study halls. They had favourite classes and those they dreaded weekly. And how scary it was for them to even think of failing a midterm.But after February 24, 2022, everything changed for Ukrainian students. Classrooms turned into bomb shelters and battlefields. Fear changed its course, and bravery took control.
Now, diplomas of some will never be issued.
Unissued Diplomas is an international exhibition that shares the stories of 40 Ukrainian students whose lives were cut short by the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The exhibition originated with former students from the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy in Ukraine and was first organized in 2023. It has since been displayed in 24 countries, including Sweden, and over 110 locations.
In commemoration of the third anniversary of the invasion, the exhibition will be on held in Uppsala for the first time.
The event is organized by IRES, Pax et Bellum, and TSARES with the support of Kalmar Nation.
