UniPod26: A Podcast Creator Festival for Brum

Uni Pod is a Podcast Creator Festival in a friendly and inclusive space, proud to platform and celebrate diverse voices. For anyone interested in podcasts, working in podcasting and media content creation for both new and established podcasters or if you want to be inspired to start your own hit podcast, Uni Pod Fest provides the incredible opportunity to hear from and meet podcast experts.

Key figures from UK podcasting have attended in the past, including the Managing Director of The Radio Academy, CEO of Audio UK and Head of Global Podcasts for Amazon Music.

Our theme for 2026 is video and content creation but don't worry we still love audio the best! We have invited some great podcast content creators smashing it on YouTube including sports podcasters. In 2025 our theme was gender equity issues at the top of UK podcasting; in 2024 we welcomed George The Poet for a special tribute to Birmingham legend Benjamin Zephaniah.

In previous years, Uni Pod featured a keynote from Hamza Syed from the global number hit podcast Trojan Horse by Serial Productions for New York Times Audio. We had podcast producers from global award-winning podcasts from the BBC, CBC, Spotify, Global Player, Amazon and more. There will be more huge names in podcasting for 2026.
