Uninspired Threads

Uninspired Threads is a dynamic pop-up event at Matiz Press, featuring uninspired4ever, a popular DIY clothing brand and art shop. Attendees will have the opportunity to personalize their garments with exclusive linen patches and custom buttons. The event also includes a showcase of limited edition risograph prints.

Acitivities Include:

• Clothing Customization - descorate your clothes with patches designed by Alex/Uninspired
• Button Making Station - make buttons designed by Alex/Uninspired or your own!

What to Bring:

Bring any clothing item(s) you'd like to costumize! It could be a vintage tee, a thrifted skirts, a neck tie, whatever's your vibe. Please keep your items below 5 articles of clothing, space and matierals are limited!

(We will have blank T-Shirts [$10] and Baby Tees [$12] available for purchase while supplies last).

Covid Safety Precautions:

• Air purifier in use during the workshop
• Hand sanitizer stations available
• Free KN95 masks (mask-wearing highly recommended)

About Uninspired:

uninspired4ever is a DIY clothing brand and art shop based in Chicago, IL. Founded by visual artist Alex (she/they), who hails from the South Side of Chicago, the brand emerged from Alex’s passion for printmaking and analog darkroom photography. Since its inception in 2020, uninspired4ever began as a bedroom project making linocut patches and teaching themselves to sew and screenprint.

By 2021, it had grown into a full-time endeavor, fueled by Alex’s dedication to creativity and the support of a vibrant community. Alex’s work primarily involves intaglio, linocut, and lithography techniques, and their DIY approach continues to inspire unique, handcrafted fashion.
