👮♀️ Our popular annual Uniformed Services Day is back this half term at Durham Markets! 🚑
On Friday, 30th October, meet the heroes behind the uniforms as representatives from various services join us in Durham Market Place for a fun-filled day.
Kids can explore real emergency vehicles, try out kit and weaponry, and even turn on the sirens (sorry, parents 😅). Older kids and young adults can chat to the teams about what it’s like to work in the services and how to get involved.
Services attending the day are:
👮♂️ Durham City Police
🚒 County Durham & Darlington Fire & Rescue Service
🚁 Great North Air Ambulance Service
🏍 Northumbria Blood Bikes
🪖 8 Rifles Regiment from the British Army
✈️ Royal Air Force
🚢 Royal Navy
🛟 RNLI
⛰ Teesdale and Weardale Search and Mountain Rescue Team
🌺 Royal British Legion
🚑 St John Ambulance
PLUS!!!
With entertainment, FREE kids' activities, first aid demonstrations from St John's Ambulance, an outdoor market, a chance to see our poppy canopies on display for the DLI soldiers ahead of Remembrance Day, AND a brilliant community atmosphere, it’s the perfect family day out in the heart of Durham! ❤️🧡💛
📅 Friday 30th October | 10am – 4pm
🎨 FREE entry + free entertainment and kids' activities!
