Although we often assume there’s little to see beneath the surface of our freshwater rivers and streams, an extraordinary world comes alive once we look underwater. Vibrant fish of diverse colors, shapes, and behaviors inhabit these ecosystems. The streams themselves form breathtaking underwater landscapes, offering those willing to explore them a chance to witness remarkable natural phenomena—from long-distance fish migrations to predator‑prey interactions to the striking colors of mating displays.
In this engaging indoor presentation, underwater naturalist Keith Williams shares his firsthand adventures exploring the hidden world beneath the surface of the Susquehanna Riverlands’ streams.
