Revealing Ancient Wetlands -
Floodplain Wetland Stream Restoration Documentary Screening and Q&A
Join the Chesapeake Watershed Initiative at Franklin & Marshall College for a screening of the 2026 documentary Revealing Ancient Wetlands! The Haverstick Films documentary explores the 2025 restoration of Indian Run in Millersville, PA as a case study for wetland floodplain restorations with the power to improve the health of our streams and help manage our watersheds. The film chronicles the story of the discovery of the legacy sediments polluting our streams from historic millponds by F&M professors Dr. Dorothy J. Merritts and Dr. Robert C. Walter. The screening will be followed by a Q&A panel with the filmmakers, scientists, engineers, and grantors responsible for the project. Come join us for a deep dive into the forefront of this growing effort to restore our streams to vibrant wetland ecosystems!
