Contemporary Indian society is a very complex phenomenon portraying feudalism, industrialisation, modernism and post modernism simultaneously. We are multiple Indias existing at the same time. Although political forces try hard to define and direct our society through their ideologies, we are much more diverse and vibrant refusing to succumb to any bracketing and branding.
Indian documentaries have recorded these journeys meticulously and artistically creating wide range of arguments and counter arguments for us to travel through these archives and reflect upon them historically and creatively.
Join us in the 3 day workshop to understand the Indian Society by watching and interacting on old and new documentaries.
