A workshop targeted at Youth Ages 18-24, BAFEF's Understanding Credit will demystify credit scores and how to make credit work for you.About this Event
The Bay Area Financial Education Foundation and the City of Redwood City are bringing three personal finance workshops to Redwood City Public Library for Youth Ages 18-24.
In Understanding Credit, Attendees will learn the fundamentals of credit, including:
- Key concepts such as credit cards, debit cards, and interest.
- Common types of loans and how they work.
- Responsible credit usage, credit score calculations, and pitfalls to avoid.
- Strategies for young individuals to manage credit responsibly.
This workshop is led by investment professionals who teach personal finance classes for teens and young adults.
This class is intended for youth ages 18-24.
There are two other workshops: Budgeting 101 (March 3) and Taxes & Your Paycheck (April 7). Attendees do not need to attend all three.
