About this Event
Babies communicate long before they can use words.
Through movement, expression, connection and behaviour, babies are constantly sharing their experiences, needs and feelings with the adults around them. This session invites us to slow down, notice, and begin to truly hear the Baby Voice.
Understanding and Appreciating Baby Voice in Calderdale is an interactive and reflective session exploring how we recognise babies’ communication, understand their lived experience, and include their voice in the way we design services, support families, and work together as a community.
This session is part of ongoing work across Calderdale to strengthen parent-infant relationships and ensure that babies’ perspectives are considered in practice, services and community thinking. Professionals and parents have worked together to think about how to keep making things better for parents and babies in Calderdale. This work resulted in the development of a Boobie Bus Journey map. As the next stage, we are now including the babies' perspective, which we are keen to share and explore with you at this event.
