Narrated by Oscar-nominee Sandra Hüller, this cinematic adaptation of Robert Macfarlane’s bestselling book voyages into spaces rarely glimpsed by human eyes to explore the world that exists beneath our feet.
Beginning in the shallow soils beneath an old ash tree, we travel alongside several “astronauts of the underworld” into sacred ancient caves, flooded storm drains, melting glaciers, underwater burial chambers, and an underground laboratory where scientists are working to solve one of the universe’s great mysteries.
