Celebrate Independence Day with a festive, patriotic night of tango at our Underground Milonga this Saturday, July 4. We invite you to bring a touch of red, white, and blue to your attire as we honor the holiday with a warm community spirit and beautiful dances. This special evening is the perfect way to spend the Fourth of July on the hardwood floor with friends old and new.
DJ MJ will be in the booth providing a curated selection of traditional tango music. The evening follows the classic codes of the milonga, including the use of the cabeceo to find partners and the traditional structure of tandas and cortinas. Whether you are a local regular or a visitor from out of town, you will find a welcoming atmosphere and a floor full of character.
Your hosts Mirek and Jenya of Lifetime Tango ensure every guest feels at home. We provide courtesy hors d'oeuvres and beverages to keep you energized throughout the night. Since 2020, our Saturday nights have been a staple for the Sarasota dance community, offering a space where no partner is required and everyone is encouraged to participate.
The evening begins at The Ballroom of Sarasota, located at 5660 Swift Road. We start with a beginner class at 7 PM, followed by social dancing from 8 PM to midnight. We look forward to sharing this holiday celebration with you on the dance floor.
