GORDY QUIST & ED JURDI. What an August “Double Header” with the founding members of The Band of Heathens! Join us for the early, late, or both at the Saxon for an extremely special evening of music, conversation, and connection. A perfect "Under Fit,” these major all-star songwriters have long explored the complexities of the human experience. Themes that we will explore through their songs and conversations include resilience, loss, hope, identity, connection, and the search for meaning.Through a blend of Americana, roots rock, folk, and soul, Gordy and Ed have built a catalog of songs that are both deeply personal and universally relatable, creating space for reflection, healing, and community. Expect a unique performance and perhaps a few special surprises along the way in this most intimate setting.
UNDER THE ROCK Is an innovative series showcasing performances from top-level local artists. Facilitated by Dr. Aaron Rochlen, a Professor, Psychologist, & Music Guy, each concert features lyrical discussions and ideas for how audience member can learn, reflect, and relate from the listening experience. An award-winning presenter, “Doc Rock” frequently uses music in his courses, research, & clinical work.
