His journey began by chance—a broken-down motorcycle left him stranded near the famed Viking site of L’Anse aux Meadows in Newfoundland. But during those ten days, conversations with locals planted a seed of doubt: Was this really where Leif Erikson first landed?
Fueled by curiosity and relentless research, Robert uncovered new evidence—scientific, historical, and geographical—that points to a different location entirely. He believes he has found the true site of Vinland, the legendary Norse settlement long shrouded in myth.
Building on the early theories of Farley Mowat and later work by a Danish historian, Robert has made multiple expeditions, piecing together clues to one of North America’s oldest cold cases.
