UNCLE Z plays stuff that seems like it can't be performed with just acoustic guitar and bass.
Their eclectic set list includes songs you know and love, songs you forgot you loved, and some originals tunes that you'll feel like you already know. With just a few instruments and minimal effects (no digital loops or drum machines!) they create an energetic and big sound.
Doug Zernow (guitar, vocals, occasional ukulele) picked up the guitar the day after he saw The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show. Zack Light (electric bass) is well-known in northern Michigan as one of the finest bassists in northern Michigan. He's played everything from metal to folk, and it shows.
