About this Event
deborah harris and Sae Kimura have been creating collages from cloth in response to Picasso and Caravaggio in the latest exhibit, "uncertainty is possibility".
Gallery curator harris started with images of two of the noted painters' compositions, Guernica and The Entombment of Christ, merging them into a large collage. Segments of this work are now on display in the main floor Genesis Gallery wherein she and her assistant Kimura are recreating the images from many scraps of fabric, currently scattered across the space.
One of the gallery's unusual features is the development of exhibitions during opening hours, allowing visitors to witness the process directly.
