This Fall grab your lacrosse gear and join the Fredericksburg Men’s Lacrosse League for their first 8 week long casual 6’s league starting Oct 6 - Nov 10 at the Fredericksburg Field House from 7-10pm. This league is for lacrosse players 18 and older for beginner to seasoned players to enjoy. Six regular season games are guaranteed with the top 2 teams playing for the championship on the last Sunday.
6’s brings the intensity and speed of Lacrosse to a smaller, faster, and exciting pace for all skill levels to enjoy. 3-6 Teams will have a minimum of 12 players and a maximum of 15. Teams will have 5 short stick fieldmen with 1 goalie allowed on the field.
Games will be played in four 8-minute running quarters with 2-minute breaks in between quarters. The only face-offs will occur at the beginning of the quarters, Goalies will restart play after a goal and must remain onsides. A shot clock of 45 seconds will start the moment your team is in position of the ball. Minor fouls will be for 30 seconds, major for 1 minute, and expulsion for 3+ major faults.
Established teams can sign up for the league at the Field House but need to provide their own jersey. Individual registrations can choose to be on an established team (team provided spares).
Player fees are only $126. Registration for teams start August 1st and end September 29th. Player registration starts August 1st until the third week of the season October 20th. The winning team will receive winner ups and a team trophy.
Good luck! Players should be prepared to move up and down the field to play both offensive and defense. 6’s lacrosse is a great opportunity for new players to build confidence on the field and seasoned players to enjoy the multiple chances to score.
