This year's annual meeting hosted by the United Nations Association will focus on the crucial topic of protecting the environment for the health of our communities. The program will feature a keynote address by Valentina Buj de Lauwerier, Global Malaria and Health Partnerships Advisor, Public Partnerships Division, UNICEF.
Her remarks will be followed by a panel of climate activists in Westchester County, moderated by Rand Manasse, Federated Conservationists of Westchester County. The panelists include Oded Holzinger, Executive Director, Groundwork Hudson Valley; Pamela Stewart-Martinez, WE ACT for Environmental Justice; and Sarah Wilson, President, Sierra Club Lower Hudson Group. More details will be available soon.
A brief annual meeting and announcement of the newly elected board of directors will follow. The event is free and open to the public. A networking reception will close out the program.
