Umpqua Growth Talks Pitch Night - Qualifying Event

Six entrepreneurs have been selected for the next Pitch Night event, September 4 at Backside Brewing in Roseburg. The six participants will compete for their share of a $2,000 prize fund and the final two spots in the first ever Pitch Night Grand Finale October 23.

Pitch Night is a program of the Umpqua Economic Development Partnership. “Successful small businesses stimulate our economy, create jobs, foster innovation, and enhance economic resilience,” said Brian Prawitz, Executive Director of UEDP. “We are proud to support the growth and expansion of local small businesses.”

The six contestants that have been chosen for this round are: Desirae Cleary – Cattle Dogs Golf Center; Brooke Laurance – Revival Juice Company; Jime Amaro – Jime’s Hot Dogs; Kristi Rifenbark – Rosebud Theatre; Ellie Dantibo – Ellie’s Dance Studio; and Amanda Nash Shields – Public Spectacle.

Info: Doors open at 5 and free pizza will be first come, first served, starting then.

Info: We'll introduce the contestants, then each one will have 5 minutes to pitch followed by questions from the judges. While the judges deliberate, we will take a poll for the audience favorite and announce raffle prize winners. Then it will be time to hand out the really big checks!
