UK–Uganda Metals and Mining Investment Dialogue
Connecting Uganda’s mineral opportunities with UK capital, expertise and commercial partnerships

The UK–Uganda Metals and Mining Investment Dialogue is a dedicated sector programme of the UK–Africa Investment Summit 2026, the UK’s longest-running annual UK–Africa trade and investment platform, established in 2010.

The dialogue will take place on Friday, 11 September 2026, at The Royal Horseguards Hotel & One Whitehall Place, London.

This high-level programme will bring together government ministers, mining executives, investors, banks, project financiers, legal advisers, infrastructure providers, technology companies and responsible-sourcing specialists to explore Uganda’s next generation of mining and mineral-processing opportunities.

Uganda has significant potential across rare earths, graphite, copper, cobalt, nickel, gold, iron ore, limestone, wolfram, zinc, glass sand, vermiculite and other industrial minerals.

The opportunity now extends beyond resource discovery.

The focus is on converting Uganda’s mineral potential into financeable, compliant and infrastructure-linked projects with credible routes to processing, domestic value addition, export and industrial scale.
