Pysanky is an Ukranian tradition of egg decorating. The symbols used have symbolic meanings such as peace, prosperity, and fertility and are often exchanged as gifts. Using a wax-resist batik method, you will decorate your egg using your own designs including Ukranian symbols or follow step by step instruction. Join us for this popular and fun class to make a colorful Easter egg while learning the history and meanings behind this ancient art. A similar class at a nearby craft studio is $35 and $65 at the Polish Art Center in Hamtramck!
