The Province of British Columbia has officially proclaimed September 7, 2025, as Ukrainian Heritage Day – a day to honor the rich culture, history, and contributions of the Ukrainian community across BC.
To mark this meaningful occasion, the Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC) Victoria Branch invites everyone to join a Peaceful Walk through the heart of the city.
Event Schedule:
1:00 PM – Gathering at Victoria City Hall
1:15 PM – Start of the walk
1:45–2:00 PM – Group photo at the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia
🕊️ This walk is a peaceful expression of unity, pride, and resilience. We encourage participants to wear traditional Ukrainian Vyshyvankas or carry Ukrainian flags and symbols.
Let us walk together in celebration of Ukrainian heritage and in recognition of the vibrant Ukrainian community here in Victoria and across British Columbia.
